Thot is an asset control mechanism for
groups of game authors. It is a server and repository that talks to
a client program over the network. Users work separately while sharing
work, annotations, and other entities.
Thot combines assets,
both binary and text, with workflow automation into a unified whole.
The client interface, graphical or command line, simply and customizably
portrays the state of the project. The organization at the server
does not constrain the local client's view, unlike other asset management
systems. Many repositories and many servers may be used.
